Eva L. Pernot

Eva L. Pernot, age 84, of Janesville passed away at her home on August 22, 2017. She was born in Janesville on October 15, 1932, the daughter of Chester and Erma (Hardy) Starks. She grew up in Janesville and graduated from Janesville High School.. On January 7, 1961, Eva married Phillip J. Pernot. She was formerly employed by Sprackling Products. Eva was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Women of the Moose # 477. She enjoyed sewing and knitting, especially sewing teddy bears which she sent all over the world. In addition to making teddy bears, she also sewed many prom and wedding dresses. Eva also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers, Wisconsin Badgers and the Milwaukee Brewers.
Eva is survived by her husband of 56 years, Phillip, 4 children, Deborah Dooley of Canfield, OH, Lee (Cindy) Pernot, Laurie Pernot and Phyllis (Mike) Gackstatter all of Janesville, 11 grandchildren, Matthew Dooley, Derek Dooley, Mitchell Pernot, Sarah Pernot, Daniel Pernot, Kathryn Pernot, Kylor Boltz, Kristin Boltz, Phillip Bothun, Amanda Bothun and Jenna Gackstatter, 4 great-grandchildren, Serenity, Aryiana, Steven and Samuel. She was preceded in death by a son, Dewey Pernot, her parents, her step-father, Arthur Johnson, 6 siblings, Della, George, Clarence, Doris, Elma and William who died in infancy.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 26, 2017 at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME, 1010 N. Wright Road, Janesville. Rev. Barbara Wells will officiate. Burial will follow in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation will be Saturday from noon until 1:30 p.m. at HENKE-CLARSON FUNERAL HOME.
